PERFORMANCE

The family name can carry a guy only so far, and then he has to prove himself. And Henry has certainly done that! Trained and handled exclusively by his amateur field trialing owner, and with limited AKC field trialing, Henry was awarded a Derby Stake Judges Award of Merit and a Qualifying Stake Reserve Judges Award of Merit.
It was after Henry and Dennis left field trialing and began training/trialing in agility that Henry proved his talent, spirit, and speed would transcend two of canine sports most challenging venues. After training only 9 months for a different and complex sport, Henry began competing again, this time in agility trials. In his first weekend of agility trialing, Henry earned a UKC agility title, placing first 3 times! A few months later, Henry began competing in AKC agility trials.
Henry flew through the ranks of AKC agility titles. In less than a year of limited trialing, he was running AKC’s highest levels of agility courses and had earned AKC’s Excellent Standard title (AX). AKC’s Excellent Jumpers title (AXJ) came shortly thereafter.
Labs haven’t always been thought of as premier agility dogs, but please don’t mention that to Henry. He seems proud to have proven otherwise.
Please note that Henry is not satisfied to merely get ‘r done. As he moved through AKC’s agility title levels, Henry’s 16 first placements and 2 second placements punctuated his athletic talent, trainability, and biddability.
As he earned AKC agility titles in Novice and Open classes, and then as he ran AKC’s toughest courses to earn his prestigious AKC Excellent titles, Henry consistently placed at the top of each class. And, you should know, Henry’s competitions include dogs of many breeds – including the so-called “agility” breeds.

APPEARANCE If a picture is really worth a thousand words, we’ve already said enough about Henry. Please, don’t settle for the notion that Labrador conformation and stunning good looks are incompatible with speed and drive. Simply put, Henry proves otherwise.
