| American Dog Obedience Center’s 7-week Retriever Program combines the skills of our basic obedience boarding school program with additional skills specific to retrieving. Beyond the basic skills presented to every dog at American Dog Obedience Center, our Retriever Training Program includes:
To understand the focus and scope of the Retriever Training Program, you must first read the information on our opening page. Because enhanced family companionship is foremost among our client goals, our Retriever Training Program is structured to also include the same basic skills and manners training every dog receives at American Dog Obedience Center. To understand our training focus and methods, refer to the information on our Beyond Results page. This page will enable you to really appreciate the most up-to-date equipment and (more importantly) humane methods and effective training techniques employed by Kris Butler and Dennis Butler to teach retrieving skills to your dog. Training skills matter - there is a difference! FEES AND SCHEDULING Dogs must be a full 6 months of age or older to enroll in American Dog Obedience Center’s Retriever Training Program. The current cost of a 7-week Retriever Training Program is $2450, which includes pretty much everything except food and any unexpected veterinary or care expenses, for which you are responsible. As with our 3-week basic program, your lessons, collar, magic carpet, interactive toy for your dog, and the Cesar Millan DVD People Training for Dogs (for you to view and consider while your dog is away) are all included in this price. A fee of $40 per day will be assessed for dogs here past 7 weeks. $100 discount on board and train programs to active military personnel as a gesture of appreciation for your service. For this course, we schedule at least 2 lessons with family members and their dogs. The first lesson should fall at the end of 3 weeks of training and the second lesson will be scheduled for the last day of training, before the dog goes home. Each lesson runs 2-3 hours. Sometimes an additional lesson is planned between weeks 5 and 6. Click here for important enrollment information.
